Pteryga Design, Inc. was approached a few weeks ago with a very challenging project from the Knoxville volunteer lodge of The Fraternal Order of Police.  The project entailed putting together a completely new web portal for the lodge that could be managed and maintained by officers of the FOP that had limited internet experience, and do so on a very conservative budget. 

David Brashears, Pteryga Design, Inc. president, had this to say about the project, "I was approached a by a good friend and colleague that's a member of the Knox County Sherrif's Dept. about this possible project.  When he gave me the details of what they were looking to produce and the budget they had put aside for the project, it became clear that this was going to be a charitable donation project.  I enjoy doing this kind of work when the opportunity and the time present themselves."

Mr. Brashears went on to explain that this project would have been completely impossible to do in any sort of time effective manner had it not been for the Joomla application.  "Since we've started using the Joomla application, our ability to provide for our clients a sturdy/valid web portal application at a cost effective and time effective level has become a reality!"
